I wasn't aware Waititi was doing the adaptation of Klara! Wow! I weirdly became a Dickens fanatic in my 'old age'. I've been savoring an audio version of David Copperfield read by Richard Armitage. But Christmas Carol is a near perfect gem. Of course the Muppets are the best adaptation, but I do have a strange fondness for the 80s George C. Scott version. And although I don't love the uncanny valley vibe of the Jim Carrey film...I also don't totally hate it overall? I want to like Patrick Stewart's effort, but he's too Jean-Luc Picard for me to take him seriously as Scrooge. Can you tell I've given this way too much thought? Want to hear my ramblings about the various Little Women adaptations? ;-)
